October 2025 ISAC Meeting Materials and Updates Now Available

The Information Sharing and Advisory Committee (ISAC) recently convened to discuss several important issues impacting the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) community.

Below is a summary of the updates and discussion points from the meeting:

Updates from ODP

Deputy Secretary Ahrens and ODP Staff shared ODP updates with the committee. Major themes of the updates included:

• Waiver Updates: CMS approved the January 2026 ID/A HCBS waiver amendments with no major changes; AAW renewal is planned for July 2026 with public comment expected early next year.
• Performance-Based Contracting: Supports Coordination Organizations (SCO) have submitted performance data and signed agreements under the new contracting model.
• Residential Initiatives: ODP will hold stakeholder discussion boards and focus groups this fall to examine 1-person licensed residential homes.
• Employment Focus: ODP highlighted ongoing employment initiatives, including the release of 2025 Race and Employment Reports, a steady increase in individuals with competitive integrated employment, and recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
