On October 16, 2026, the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) convened the first in a series of stakeholder work group meetings focused on reviewing, revising, and modernizing Pennsylvania's Chapter 6100 regulations. The work groups are intended to ensure the regulations reflect current best practices while providing a framework for future growth and innovation within the intellectual and developmental disabilities service system.

During the kickoff meeting, Deputy Secretary Kristin Ahrens outlined the purpose, scope, and anticipated process for the initiative. Work group participants include a diverse cross-section of ODP stakeholders, including self-advocates, provider representatives, Supports Coordination Organization (SCO) representatives, and ODP subject matter experts.

Presentation materials shared during the meeting are available below:

The next general regulatory review session is scheduled for October 23, 2026. Additional information and updates will be shared after that session.
