OMHSAS Releases Final Form PRTF Regulations

The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) has released the final form of their Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) regulations. The final form regulations include many of the recommendations provided by RCPA’s Children’s Residential Work Group, including changes to staffing and training requirements, allowable costs, and implementation cost estimates. RCPA will also be submitting comments on the final regulation.

 

The Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) will be voting on the promulgation of these regulations at their November 19 meeting, at which RCPA will testify. Please forward any comments or questions to Emma Sharp.
