The Office of Developmental Programs would like to invite County staff to attend the PA Secondary Transition: Connecting for Employment in-person networking and training session on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. Connecting for Employment (C4E) is a statewide, cross-agency initiative designed to bring together state and county staff and partners from education, vocational rehabilitation, and disability services to strengthen collaboration and improve employment outcomes for youth with disabilities.

The “Connecting Systems: Strengthening Pathways from School to Employment” session will focus on building regional connections and developing practical local strategies to support successful transitions from school to work. Building successful networks can help your organization improve employment outcomes related to Performance-Based Contracting and the Employment First Act.

This event is an excellent opportunity for any staff who are working to support young adults who are interested in pursuing competitive integrated employment. By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Identify one priority regional challenge;
  • Connect their work to real workforce opportunities;
  • Develop on actionable step for the next 90 days; and
  • Help shape the Connecting for Employment (C4E) committee agenda for 2026-2027 events.

Registration information may be found on Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) website. This is a free invitation only event, and the required registration code is C4E2026.

Questions regarding this event may be sent to Jamie Bonser.
