Desire'e Williams has a lot to celebrate when it comes to grandkids.
"Oh, I have like 18, but I'm only taking care of two," says Williams who lives in Northeast Philadelphia.
She spent time with some of them at a Philadelphia Corporation for Aging-coordinated event.
"Kind of acknowledging all that grandparents do for grandchildren, whether they're raising them or not," says Pamela Diaconis, development manager for Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA).
The day of fun was sponsored by United Healthcare Community Plan of PA.
"Our grandparents have cared for us and loved us and struggled for us and we want to recognize them and make sure that they're supported," says Blair Boroch, CEO of United Healthcare Community Plan. "One thing we really try to do is provide awareness of all of the benefits that are out there."
"So we pulled together some partners and we're giving out information," says Diaconis.
