As Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week (September 13–19, 2026) approaches, RCPA proudly recognizes the thousands of dedicated Direct Support Professionals serving individuals with brain injuries across the Commonwealth. Their compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment empower individuals to live meaningful lives while promoting independence, choice, and full participation in their communities.
Whether providing personal care, supporting rehabilitation and skill development, fostering independence, assisting community participation, or simply being a trusted source of encouragement, DSPs are the foundation of Pennsylvania's brain injury service system. RCPA extends its sincere gratitude to these remarkable professionals and thanks them for the countless ways they enrich the lives of those they support. We also encourage our members to take time throughout the week to celebrate and recognize the extraordinary contributions of their DSP workforce.
RCPA members are encouraged to share their DSP Week activities on social media using the hashtag #DSPRW2026.
