Strong Minds, Bright Futures PA is requesting feedback regarding an endorsement training opportunity for certified peer specialists, certified recovery specialists, and certified family recovery specialists.
Several Subject Matter Experts and key stakeholders have been working on the idea of an endorsement training for Certified Peer Specialists, Certified Recovery Specialists, and Certified Family Recovery Specialists across Pennsylvania. Endorsement trainings are to provide credentialed individuals, in this case specifically CPSs, CRSs, and CFRSs, the opportunity to gain specialty training in a variety of areas; in this instance, it would be for working with Youth and Young Adults (YaYA). To request an endorsement be created by the Pennsylvania Certification Board, several steps must be completed as outlined:
- Draft a course outline/training components that are critical and shall be in every training as it pertains to YaYA. (Completed)
- Send the draft course outline out for feedback and review by other subject matter experts and stakeholders. (Your feedback is required.)
- The original committee will review each submission as it comes in. (Please remember that the submissions are recommendations; thus, there is no guarantee or requirement that the suggested edits be made)
- All suggested edits and feedback should be sent via email.
Strong Minds, Bright Futures is seeking assistance in outlining the required areas that need to be trained to peers that want specialty training in working with YaYA. Once this document is finalized, an announcement will go out looking for interested training vendors, along with instructions on how to apply.
Any questions can also be sent electronically.
