Waiver Amendment Public Comment Period Extended

ODP Announcement 21-008 informs stakeholders that the public comment period on proposed changes to the Consolidated, Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS), Community Living, and Adult Autism Waivers has been extended. The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is extending the public comment period for an additional two weeks. Comments received by 11:59 pm on February 1, 2021 will be reviewed and considered for revisions to the waiver amendments prior to their submission to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

In addition, ODP presented two webinars to discuss the proposed waiver amendments and to obtain public comment on the proposed changes. On January 8, 2021, a webinar was presented on the Adult Autism Waiver, and on January 11, 2021, a webinar was presented on the Consolidated, Community Living, and P/FDS Waivers.

Both of these webinars were recorded and are now available online along with their PowerPoint presentations. You may find this link on the MyODP website by following this path:

Resources > ODP Information > Waiver Renewals & Amendments > 2021 – Proposed Waiver Amendments to the Consolidated, Person/Family Directed Support, Community Living, and Adult Autism Waivers.

The proposed waiver amendments are also accessible on the Department of Human Services website. This site also contains a “side-by-side”, which is a comparison of the waivers in their current and proposed forms.

RCPA will be submitting comments developed by our members. If you have comments that you would like us to include, please contact Carol Ferenz, Director, IDD Division.
