“Be the SPARK” is a no-cost, interactive tobacco treatment implementation assistance program that gives healthcare professionals the tools needed to integrate evidence-based strategies into everyday care for populations facing significant tobacco-related cancer disparities. Designed with busy clinicians in mind, the course blends research-driven education with real-world application to help providers improve prevention, treatment, and survivorship outcomes.
Participants will receive a comprehensive, implementation-ready curriculum designed for clinicians, care managers, and behavioral health professionals working in underserved rural areas, low-income communities, behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs, and HIV care settings.
Offered through the University of Pennsylvania/Penn Medicine, the program is currently recruiting participants for Year 2, with a specific goal of increasing participation among rural health providers. The next cohort will start September 11, 2026.
More information is available on Penn Medicine’s website. Those interesting in participating can also register online. View the flyer below for additional details.
